Investigation started after female body found in Greene County

A release from the Greene County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation has been launched after a female’s body was found in the County on Tuesday. Officials say the body was located on private property in the 5000 block off Lonesome Pine Trail. An investigation into the circumstances of the death is currently underway and as of Thursday morning, next of kin had not yet been notified.
