Johnson City man charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor

A Johnson City man was arrested after he was served a federal search warrant by Homeland Security Investigations the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. According to a press release, Shawn M. Zona, 29, is charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.

The charges come from a joint investigation where Zona admitted to downloading and sharing child pornography on the internet. Shawn Zona was taken into custody at his home on Meadowview Avenue on Tuesday, and additional charges are expected to be filed.
