Jury issues guilty verdict in lethal overdose case
A Washington County Tennessee jury has convicted a drug dealer of second degree murder after selling the victim a lethal dose of cocaine at a Johnson City pub.
The District Attorney’s report said the narcotic Tyrique Brown sold to the buyer, 23-year-old Isaiah Coleman, was laced with fentanyl, resulting in Coleman’s fatal overdose.
The statement also said another person OD’d after buying drugs from Brown, who refused to tell officers the name of his supplier. Brown could face up to 35 years in prison at his sentencing scheduled for March 30th.
