Kyle Busch ceremony set for October in Charlotte

A celebration of life event for two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch has been announced for October 9th at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The Las Vegas native and winner of 23 races at Bristol Motor Speedway died in May after a brief illness.

A NASCAR statement said the gathering will be free to the public and more details including guest speakers will be announced at a later date. The tribute is tentatively scheduled to be held after the conclusion of the Ecosave 250 for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
