Nashville to host Super Bowl in 2030
Nashville was selected to be the host city for the Super Bowl in 2030 at a meeting of NFL owners Tuesday. The NFL owners voted unanimously to award the Super Bowl to Nashville. The game will be played at the new Nissan Stadium. The $2.1 billion stadium is set to open in 2027, which would give the venue a few seasons to get ready before hosting its biggest event ever. Nashville has a history of hosting major sports events that generate huge revenue for the area. The Nashville Predators’ Stanley Cup run in 2017 generated an estimated $50 million and then he 2019 NFL Draft drew more than 600,000 fans and raked in around $224 million. The NHL draft in 2023 was estimated to bring in between $15 and $20 million. The Super Bowl is by far the most-watched event in the United States and garners more than 127 million viewers worldwide.
