Officers visit Georgia Avenue home, arrest Bristol man on child sex charge
For the second time in a week, a Northeast Tennessee man is arrested and charged with child sex related felonies.
Earlier, it was a Mexican national from Elizabethton, and now, it’s a Bristol, Tennessee resident.
A city police report said a search warrant was served at a home on Georgia Avenue where Thomas Carey, 31, resides after investigators got a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Carey’s electronic devices were taken by officers, including a computer and cell phones.
Carey is charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, and police said more charges are pending. An officer with the Carter County Sheriff’s Office was also involved in the investigation.
Carter County authorities announced the arrest of Pablo Rodriguez on Tuesday. He is accused of live streaming abusive sexual behavior involving a child while online, police said.
