One in custody after armed robbery at Richlands store

A Tazewell County man is accused of pointing a gun at store clerks during a hold up Tuesday afternoon.

A report from the Richlands Police Department said an armed robbery was reported at Big Lots on Kents Ridge Road just before 4 p.m. The suspect, identified as Hunter Brian Gill, 28, approached the checkout, pulled the weapon, then fled the scene on foot with cash.

Gill was found that evening and arrested, according to the agency. He is charged with armed robbery and two weapon violations including brandishing a firearm.
