Police rule death’s couple in Hamblen County a murder-suicide

Hamblen County investigators have ruled the death of a couple found Sunday night in their home a murder-suicide.

Police arrived at the residence just before 9 p.m. and found James Hunt, 51, and Beverly Hunt, 49 dead at the scene. Their family pet had also been shot and killed, according to the county report.

Sheriff Chad Mullins said the incident was isolated and both bodies have been sent for an autopsy.
