Report: Internal review says South Greene teacher had sex on campus

Documents issued by Greene County Schools reveal a teacher and former candidate for County Mayor had sex on school grounds with a fellow worker—one of the results of an investigation surrounding South Greene Middle School teacher Josh Arrowood.

The system’s HR director produced the letters to the Greeneville Sun and also state Arrowood showed photos of naked women to coworkers at South Greene and made inappropriate sexual remarks while on the job.

Arrowood was suspended without pay last week after a complaint over his alleged inappropriate behavior was lodged and over the weekend, he permanently ended his mayoral campaign. He is also a member of the Greene County Commission.

Another statement said the HR director had plans to present the investigation to the Board of Education along with the recommendation to fire Arrowood unless the teacher submitted his resignation from the teaching job which was handed in on Monday.

The next session of the Greene County Board of Education is scheduled for April 1.
