Saint Paul officials said non-lethal device used to stop suspect
Saint Paul authorities issued a statement to dispel the rumors of their officer using lethal force to stop a suspect.
The report said in the Wednesday night incident where a town policeman was injured during a scuffle, the suspect was hit with a Bola Wrap–a device that has a restraint cord deployed to tie-up the suspect when fired and has a similar sound to a gunshot.
The item was used on James Uzzell, who faces five charges including assaulting an officer and DUI. The police officer was treated and released from an area hospital.
