Scott Eastwood: “I’m Going To Make Paul Walker Proud”
Scott Eastwood has been cast in the next Fast & Furious movie, and is hoping to “make Paul Walker proud.” The actor further noted that he and the late Walker were close friends, writing, “We surfed together, traveled together, and he was a huge role model and influencing figure in my life when I was younger. He still is. He was an older brother to me.” Eastwood then personally thanked new co-star Vin Diesel for his “support and insight,” and concluded, “Paul – I am going to make you proud.”
There have been very few details revealed about Eastwood’s role in the sequel, but he’s said to be playing a protege of Kurt Russell’s character, a secret government agent. It was also announced last week that Charlize Theron would be joining the franchise as a new villain. Fast 8 hits theaters on April 14, 2017.
