Solid waste convenience center in Lamar reopens with expanded services
The Washington County, Tennessee, solid waste convenience center in the Lamar community is officially back open, offering expanded space and services after major damage from Hurricane Helene.
State and county leaders were at the site to mark the reopening. The rebuilt center is bigger than the previous facility and has more services. The center is now equipped to accept brush in addition to standard household waste. The center will be open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
