Steam release reported Tuesday night at Eastman

A reported steam release at Eastman Chemical Company that could be heard outside the plant occurred Tuesday night. Emergency vehicles could be seen inside the plant near the intersection of Lincoln Street and Konnarock Road. No injuries were reported and the noise continued to subside through the night. The Kingsport Fire Department responded to the plant for mutual aid standby. Eastman has confirmed the incident.
