Sullivan County Dems: Commissioner Joe Carr should resign after arrest

The Sullivan County Democratic Party is calling for the immediate resignation of Sullivan County Commissioner Joe Carr according to a release. Carr was arrested for public intoxication and sexual battery in Asheville on October 19th. The statement from the party says “Sullivan County deserves leaders who work diligently for all Sullivan County residents and who represent our county with decorum and respect for the office. Joe Carr has proven he is unable to do that. Sullivan County Democratic Party calls for Joe Carr’s resignation, and if that is not forthcoming, for his dismissal by Sullivan County Commission.”
