Tickle family donates $34 million to King University

Strongwell Corporation chairman John Tickle and wife Ann have made one of the largest contributions in King University history with a $34 million donation to establish a new four-year honors college, among other improvements.

Uses for academic study and campus facility upgrades are also in the plans for the financial gift that John Tickle said will enhance the experience at King and hopefully provide incentive for those students to stay and help the community grow after obtaining their degree.

The John & Ann Tickle Honor College will begin accepting applications this fall with classes starting in Fall 2027.
