Travis Turner left residence with firearm, according to family attorney
The attorney for Travis Turner’s family released a statement, claiming the at-large fugitive left his home with a firearm. In the statement, Attorney Adrian Collins said Turner “left his residence to walk in the woods with a firearm” on November 20, which was the last time his family had contact with him. The statement comes more than a week after Turner, Union High School’s football coach, was reported “missing” after investigators attempted to speak with him regarding a Virginia State Police investigation. He has been the subject of a VSP search since his disappearance. Turner is no longer listed on Union High School’s website.
After Turner was listed as a missing person, the VSP announced charges against Turner, and 10 warrants were issued for his arrest. Turner faces five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor. VSP also stated Turner was considered a fugitive as of November 25 and that more charges are pending.
