TVA says South Holston Dam upper access to be closed for work

The Tennessee Valley Authority says that access to the upper part of South Holston Dam will be closed starting Wednesday. A release from TVA said the closure will be in place for crews to make updates to safety and emergency equipment. The top of the dam reservation, including the visitor center, will be closed for about five weeks.
