Update: Pedestrian On I-81 Exit Five Dies After Being Hit By Two Vehicles

In an update to a story we first told you about early Tuesday morning, Virginia State Police now say a male pedestrian died as a result of being hit by two vehicles on Interstate 81 north in Bristol Virginia Monday evening. A male pedestrian, was in the northbound lanes of the heavily traveled interstate near Exit 5 when he was struck by two vehicles that were unable to avoid striking the so far unidentified male. The victim succumed to his injuries at the scene. The body has been taken to Roanoke for examination, autopsy and positive identification. This is a developing story and the crash remains under investigation.
