VA Governor Spanberger talks agriculture in SWVA visit
Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger made a stop in Southwest Virginia Tuesday to speak with local farmers about issues they’re facing within the industry. Spanberger also spoke about plans to expand the state’s role in agriculture. The event was hosted at the Copenhaver Brothers Farm, a sixth-generation family owned cattle farm. Spanberger says she intends to meet the challenges of farmers head on. The Governor just signed legislation that directed her administration to develop strategies to strengthen agriculture and forestry in the hopes of expanding those industries within the state.
