Volunteer High School head coach returns to sidelines after suspension
Volunteer High School head football coach Jeremy Wagner has returned to the sidelines after serving a 10-day suspension. Newly released public records obtained by WJHL reveal Director of Schools Matt Hixson disciplined the second-year coach for unprofessional conduct and school board code of conduct violations. The reprimand notes that following a September 18th loss to Seymour, Wagner told his coaching staff to leave because they “baby and coddle” the players. Wagner missed one game—a 32-to-30 loss to Northview Academy—but officially resumed his coaching duties ahead of the Falcons’ home game against Chuckey-Doak.
