WCSO arrest Jonesborough after tip leads to drug lab

Washington County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested a Jonesborough man Thursday after receiving a tip about a potential methamphetamine lab. Deputies went to the 100 block of Tipton Road and found 35 year old Jacob M. Stapleton of Jonesborough, who had a warrant for failure to appear in Sullivan County. When deputies arrived, they found Stapleton on the roof of the home from which he jumped and tried to flee. Stapleton was apprehended and taken to the Washington County Detention Center after he was checked by emergency medical services. Investigators located over166 grams of methamphetamine, which was sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for analysis. The lab and drug paraphernalia were collected for disposal. Stapleton is facing multiple felony drug related charges, along with resisting and evading.
