WCSO: Kratom thief facing multiple charges after Gray burglary

The Washington County TN Sheriff’s Office reports that a man is accused of breaking into a Gray convenience store and stealing kratom. 33 year old Joshua Marcus Blalock was charged with burglary, theft, vandalism, driving on a revoked license and violation of financial responsibility law. Deputies responded to a burglary at a convenience store in Gray at around 5 a.m. on Monday. The front door was smashed and surveillance cameras reportedly captured footage of Blalock, taking various boxes of kratom and then fleeing the location in a vehicle. Deputies found Blalock’s vehicle along Bristol Highway shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday. Blalock was stopped and taken into custody without incident.
