Belly Rubs Cost This Police Dog His Job

Gavel is a one-year-old German shepherd in Queensland, Australia and he’s been in training to become a police dog. Well, at least until his love of belly rubs got in the way. Instead of looking fierce and attacking on command, he’d just flop over on his back and beg for that sweet belly to get the pets.

Now, Gavel has been found a job more suited for his temperament. They sent him to the state government, where he’s going to work as a greeting dog.
